My baby girl as a mermaid. Handmade by me. She was NOT Ariel,  because she is five months old and that didn’t make any sense to me. No sea shell bras or red hair wigs necessary! I wanted my baby to still be a baby, even in costume! She has many years to dress like all kinds of grown up characters later on (but she still won’t be sporting a sea shell bra!). Her dad and I both dressed like fishermen, tall rubber boots, ball caps, flannel shirts, t-shirts with funny fishing sayings. It was nice to be so comfortable and fun to do a family theme!
